Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on April 25, 2015 in Sandy, Utah. Lois was born April 7th, 1932 in Murray Utah to Clarence and Martha Margetts. She was married to Kenneth John Laveder in October of 1956.

Lois provided a family life for her husband who was a carrier Navy serviceman, during her young adult life. During their military life the family lived in various parts of the United States were they made many friends. During their time with the navy Lois experienced many ethnic diversities where she learned many varieties of cooking and enjoyed cooking for her family. Lois worked as a butcher, and in an optical lab during her career.

She is survived by her 4 children, sons Kenneth Ted, John, Paul (Tawny), and daughter Tawnya (Mark), 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren, and her sister Janice.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth, sister Shirley and grandson Colby.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 30, at 11 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 6-7:30 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Midvale.
