Our beloved mother passed away peacefully of natural causes on August 1, 2020.  She was born in Tiser, Italy to Constante and Vigelante Bedont.  They came to America when she was a small child and lived in Bingham Canyon, Utah.  She married her sweetheart Edward on September 5, 1942, enjoying 57 years of marriage.  We are overjoyed that they are now together once again.

Mom lived a very frugal, simple life for herself because her focus was always on doing things for others.  She was fierce when it came to her faith and her family.  A devout Catholic, she prayed the rosary daily.  She was an amazing Italian cook, and we will miss getting together for family meals and eating her delicious Italian cookies during the holidays.

Mom was our rock and our foundation.  She always offered sage, sound advice and counsel.  We could talk to her about everything and anything, and she was always an excellent listener.   She had a wonderful smile and great sense of humor.  She had a sharp wit and really loved to laugh.  She loved to fish, and she loved animals having a particular fondness for dogs.

Her two grandsons will cherish memories of sleepovers at "nonno and nonnie's" home, and all of the fun things they did together.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edward, and her brother Felix Bedont.  She is survived by her sister Sandra (David) Goris, Arizona, and sister-in-law Joyce Bedont, her son Dan (Pauline), daughter Cecilia (Niel), grandsons Aaron (Keesha) and Brian (Cori) and great grandchildren Cameron, Ciceley, Livia and Preston.

Mom, we love you, and you will live on in our hearts and souls forever.  May you rest in eternal peace.

The family wishes to express its sincere appreciation to the management and staff of Carrington Court Memory Care.  We will never forget the kindness, love and respect you gave to our mom.  May there be a special place one day in Heaven for each of you.

We also want to thank family and friends for their love and support as we grieve our loss.  We particularly thank Reverend Dominic Thuy Dang Ha for his many years of friendship, love and spiritual support for the Brentel family.

Private family services will be held Friday, August 7, 2020.
