In Loving Memory of Lisa J. Valerio Montoya
Lisa, age 65, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 26, 2023. She was born on May 10, 1958, to Cordelio and Ernestina in Tooele, UT.
Lisa was loving and caring and touched the lives of many. Her warm smile, kind heart, humor, and cute snort with a compassionate nature were evident to all who knew her. She had a particular way of making everyone feel welcome and loved.
Lisa and Ralph met in 1981, partners in crime, quickly becoming soulmates. Ralph was her love, comedian, and protector, and Lisa always laughed or heckled him when necessary. Beyond all else, they chose each other, loved each other, and shared a life full of memories and laughter. They bonded on humor, zest for life, and their love for their adorable fur babies.
As a stepmom, Lisa embraced her role with grace and love. She offered a listening ear, a hug, or a laugh. Her commitment to show love to others was incredible. Lisa will forever be remembered as loving and nurturing; she played a role as a mom to so many.
In her free time, Lisa enjoyed fur babies, relaxing with Ralph, and spending time with family and friends. She had an infectious laughter that could brighten even the darkest of days. Her zest for life and ability to find joy in the simplest things was contagious.
While we are mourning the loss of our wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, her mother and father are rejoicing to meet her in paradise. Lisa was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ernestina and Cordelio Valerio, and grandparents and brother-in-law Michael Christensen. Her adorable fur baby Daisy. Lisa will be dearly missed and survived by her loving spouse, Ralph Montoya; her fur baby Joey and her siblings, Johnny (Mary) Valerio, Jimmy Valerio, Randy Valerio and Della (Roland) Gardner ; Children Jeremy and Shasta; her five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; Father and mother-in-law Gilbert and Ermelinda Montoya; brother-in-law Gene Montoya; sister-in-law Eny Christensen and Elanie (Casey) Hansen; God children, extended family, and friends. Her memory will forever be cherished in our hearts, and her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire us all.
