Linda passed peacefully back to her maker on October 29, 2017; She was faithful and conscientious Christian woman and believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Linda was born July 9, 1950 and raised in Miller, South Dakota where she attended elementary schools; The family moved to Pierre, South Dakota where she attended and graduated from Riggs Senior High School, Pierre, South Dakota in 1968. She had a strong commitment to education obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree from Mary-Hardin Baylor College, Belton, Texas in 1974. She majored in English with a minor in Classical Piano. Linda maintained a keen interest in music and art continuing to play piano and paint landscapes throughout her lifetime.
Linda loved nature, collecting jewelry, antiques, and playing tennis. Pursuits and hobbies that she enjoyed and shared with her family and friends. She developed a special interest and expertise in teaching becoming a certified teacher in Texas, Michigan, and Utah. She was particularly adept in working with juvenile and adult offenders and was recognized for her recidivism reduction curriculum which she developed and taught for over 8 years at the Central Utah Correctional Facility, Gunnison, Utah.
Linda was a dedicated and trusted friend, mother, spouse, and colleague. She is survived by her son Steven Jones (Nicole), 3 grandchildren Grayson, Charlotte, Hazel, brothers Michael Biddle (Corpus Christi, Texas), David Biddle (Midlothian, Virginia) two former spouses and many colleagues, friends, and prior students.
We were all blessed by her spirit, kindness, and presence. Lynn was a true artist, intellect, teacher, and student who is now free to pursue her next sphere of enlightenment.
A celebration of her life will be shared with family and friends at a future date.
