Linda Goudy Kay

Linda Goudy Kay finally graduated life and gained her wings on October 4th, 2022. She was surrounded by all of her friends and family as they said their goodbyes. Linda Goudy Kay was born on September 17th, 1947 in Payson, Utah to Ernest and Myrtle Jenkins. Linda married Joseph Ira Goudy Jr. on October 15th, 1964 in Midvale, UT but was sadly widowed after 15 years of marriage. Linda and Joe were blessed with three children, Rex, JoLynn, and LaDean. She later married Charles Wayne Kay on October 7th, 1989 in Elko, NV, and then gained two daughters, Kim and Wendy.

Linda was a lover of animals (especially dogs), and everyone knew that because anytime a dog was present, they would flock to her for treats and comfort. Linda’s most beloved dog, Daughtry, was her protector, companion, and best friend. Linda was also quite artistic, which was most often expressed through her daily yardwork and all of the blooming flowers to show for.

Linda was the most amazing wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She loved and accepted all, and her door was always open to anyone in need. She is survived by her husband Wayne of 32 years “she was the only thing that mattered to me,” her children, Rex Goudy (Monica), JoLynn Adams (Ray), LaDean Johnson (Brandon), Kim Robertson, and Wendy Folker, her brother Richard Jenkins (Sherry), her sisters, Donna Vaughn, Joyce Carr (Doyle), and Barbara Kite, her grandchildren, Hayley (Brennin), Jacob (Christa), Colton (Kellcie), Austin (Addison), Cameron, Haley (Landon), Preston (Nicole), and Shaleah (Moroni), Matthew, Jay (Sabine), Allyson (Cameron), Laramy (Camille), Kayla, Alaina (John), Julianne, and Joseph, her 16 great grandkids, and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Ernest, her mother Myrtle, her late husband Joseph, her brother Dale, and her sister Myrle.

A special thank you to Dr. Thota and her team at Intermountain Healthcare, Oncology Department as well as her hospice nurse, Jenn Parkinson who took care of her and made her comfortable at the end.
