Lila Doty Atkinson Wilson was born June 5th of 1922. She succumbed to the effects of old age on September 16th, 2017. She was born in Carey, Idaho on a homestead to Robert and Estella Atkinson. For most of her life she lived in Sandy, Utah where she attended Jordan High School and later graduated from BYU with a degree in Accounting. She taught business courses for 15 years at Jordan High School.

She married Morris M. Wilson on June 20th, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. She always loved attending and serving in the temple. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in her callings. She served in many callings such as Relief Society president, a temple worker and two full time missions.

She was active in her community. She was a quadrant chairman for Sandy City for several years, and involved in campaigns. She was a volunteer for Primary Children's "Pennies by the Inch" fundraising activities until she lost her sight in her eighties.

She loved her family. She kept track of birthdays, weddings, and any other significant events in their lives. She was an avid genealogist and spent countless hours researching her family lines and those of her husband.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her son Blayne, her parents, four of her six brothers, her sister, and many friends. She is survived by her son Kent (Varel), her daughter Mirriam (Paul), daughter-in-law Lani, 19 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

She loved life and was always on the go. She knew that Christ lives and that the "Gospel" is true and wanted everyone else to find the joy and peace that comes by living it.
