Lila Hansen

Lila Nielson Hansen passed away on April 9, 2016 surrounded by family. She was born on October 19, 1937 in Bingham Canyon, Utah to Lee (Alfred) and Florence Nielson. She was the oldest out of her brothers and sisters, Sylvia Whiting (Dale), William Nielson (Cindy), Leland Nielson (Amy) and Darlene (Dan) Deleon. Lila married Bill Hansen. She had three children, Vickie (James) Chadwick, Ila Womack Grey and Ernie Hansen. She has 10 grandchildren, Alfred, Michelle, Jackie, Andrea, Charollotte, Jerid, Thayne, Devin, Drae and Alana. She has 8 great-grandchildren, Ila, Michelle, Rieley, Skott Jr., Zander, Kodi, Sophie, and Jax. She has many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews. Lila loved her dogs more than anything in the world. Lila retired from Primary Children's Hospital. She enjoyed her work at Primary Children's Hospital. She organized an annual river rafting trip with Adrift Adventures in Moab for the hospital employees. She continued organizing and riding the rapids for years with her family. She entered a tree into the Festival of Trees annually and often dedicated it to some of the children who had passed away during the year. She moved to Challis, Idaho in the 1990's and lived there until March 2016 when she became ill. She bred Teacup Shih Tzu dogs for over 25 years. She loved her dogs more than life itself.

Services will be held at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. A viewing will be held 1 hour prior to the services. Interment, Mount Olivet.
