Leonard E. Taylor

Leonard departed on October 20, 2015 to continue his adventures with his sweetheart. He was born on July 14, 1940 to Vaughn and Ivy Taylor.

Leonard loved life. He was active in hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding, rock hounding, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a caring man who extended a helping hand to anyone in need.

He retired from Tooele Army Depot in 1995. He was a lifetime member of the GWRRA. He joined the Chapter M Club in 1994, and spent time as a member of the Chapter O Club. He was on the Board of Directors for the Wasatch Gem Society for the past 10 years and actively participated in the Gem Society for many years prior.

He is survived by his children, Val (Denise) Petersen, Marty (Kori) Petersen, Michael (Sarah) Taylor, Amber (Ken) Robison, Taffy, his beloved sisters, 13 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his wife Sandee, his brother Howard, grandson Ricky, granddaughter-in-law Ashley, and great granddaughter Kaelyn.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held in his honor on Monday, October 26, 2015 from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Copperview Recreation Center, 8446 South Harrison Street, Midvale, Utah. We invite his family and friends to come and share memories.
