Leon Butterfield, 85, passed away on July 21, 2018 at his home. Leon was a great family man, who loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed camping and fishing with his family and friends. He was a veteran, drafted and served in the Korean War. Leon retired after 30 years at Kennecott Copper as a haulage truck driver. He was a skilled woodworker and crafted many wonderful designs. Leon married Marilyn Parry and were together for 61 years. He leaves behind a daughter Tonyia (Monty) and son Troy (Alison), four grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren, brothers Larry and Ray, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Russell and Lucille Butterfield, two brothers Reed and Don Butterfield.

A viewing will be held at Anderson & Goff Mortuary, 11859 South 700 East, Draper, Utah on Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at the Canyon Rim Ward, 1050 E. Galena Drive, Sandy, Utah on July 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM. There will be a viewing before the beginning from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM. Interment at Memorial Lake Hills, 10055 South State Street, Sandy, UT 84070.
