LaWanna Jolley returned home (being 96 years old) on March 20, 2024 to be reunited with her loving husband, Ivan Jolley. They were together for 60 years.
Born March 6, 1928 in Holladay, Utah, daughter of Arza Franklin Redmond and Margaret Ellen Lee.
LaWanna had a love for family gatherings knowing Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Dad's Birthday were important to all of the family.
She loved traveling, reading books, and genealogy research going back many, many generations, and traveling to the family members’ homes to get more information, pictures and knowledge to help in her mission.
LaWanna was the Vice President and President of the Union Pacific Old Timers #12. She also served three missions with her husband Ivan Jolley for the LDS Church and was a Temple worker.
She enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing and making dresses for her daughters’ dances and granddaughters, also quilting. She made many for our family and others.
She leaves behind Ivan Richard Jolley, Warren Timothy Jolley (Gayle), Cindy LouAnna Newton (Dale), Carma DeAnna Hollings (Christopher), 14 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband Ivan Jolley, her son Michael Blaine Jolley and 9 siblings.
Mom was loved by many and greeted others with a smile and a hug, she always made friends of the family feel accepted. As a lady she always dressed to impress and we will miss her very much.
