Laura Lee Winn Ostler was born on May 23, 1931 in Nephi, Utah to Robert Edgar and Beatrice Winn. She was the youngest of six children.

She married Donald S Ostler on June 20, 1949 in the Manti Temple. She and Don moved to Salt Lake City soon after they married. Laura and Don were the parents of three children, Calvin D (Kim), Kevin D, and Lori (Scott) Hart. They were grandparents to thirteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren. They raised their family in the east bench area of Salt Lake City. They also resided in Murray, Ivins, and Sandy, Utah.

Laura was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served in many capacities throughout her life. She had a great love for the Relief Society. Laura was an accomplished painter. She blessed many with her talents and lovely art work. She was the definition of unconditional love. She will be missed.

Laura passed away peacefully of natural causes on June 18, 2016 in Sandy Utah. She was preceded in death by her husband Don and two grandchildren Jeremy Hart and Lisa Marie Ostler. She is survived by her three children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and a brother, Alma Winn.

The family wishes to thank Alta Ridge Memory Center for all their loving care of mom.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Alta Ridge Memory Center, 1375 East 9400 South, Sandy, Utah 84093.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Granite Ridge LDS Ward, 3100 East Little Cottonwood Road, Sandy, Utah. A visitation will be held one hour prior to funeral services. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens, Sandy, Utah.
