Larry James Kilby

Larry was born in Heber City, Utah on March 30, 1948 to James B. Kilby and Selma R. Kilby. Larry left this world and his loving family on Saturday, December 22nd. He fought a courageous battle suffering with COPD.

Larry had a zest for life, playing his guitar, and fishing. He leaves behind his loving wife Kathleen and family Karen (Steve) Satake, Lisa (Derek) Sims, Keith Kilby (Rob Voces), his grandchildren Grace, Ryann, Gavyn, and Ella; his loving sister Lisa Tumelson and many nephews, nieces and many other loving family members. He is preceded in death by his father James B. Kilby and Selma R. Kilby, and his father-in-law William Murnin.

Larry served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a successful businessman having had an excavating company "Kilby & Co." Later served a term as the Justice Court Judge in Summit County and he went on to retire from his real estate brokerage Kilby Realty in 2011.

"I could not stay another day, to love, to laugh, to work or play; tasks left undone must stay that way and if my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joy."

Service to be held at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Friday, December 28th at 11:00 a.m. Visitation from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Saint Francis Xavier Church, 4501 West 5215 South, Kearns, Utah. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Saint Francis Xavier School or charity of your choice. "Not gone, just gone on ahead."
