Our precious wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, LaRaine Timothy Monsen, passed away just prior to her 84th birthday. She returned to her Heavenly Home, into the arms of her parents and sister.
LaRaine married Ronald B. Monsen on January 12, 1952 in Honolulu Territory in Hawaii. Their marriage was solemnized in the Laie Hawaii LDS Temple, and together they have five children.
LaRaine loved to watch all sports and was an avid fan. Her hobbies were cross stitching, quilting and spending quality time with her loving family and friends. She received a U of U Award, for being Employee of the Year Dorm Mother.
LaRaine is survived by her husband, Ronald; children, Elaine (Kirk), Rhonda (Sam), Lee (Cindy), Darin, Chad (Becky); 15 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by grandson, Derek; her parents, Leland and Oleva Timothy; sister, Elaine.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 11, 2017, at 11:00 AM in the Midvale 6th LDS Ward Chapel, 8171 S Jackson St. A viewing for family and friends will be held at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S State St. on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, from 6-8 PM and again Thursday at the church from 9:45-10:45 AM prior to the services.
Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
