Laddie George Poor, 80, born August 1, 1939, passed away peacefully at home June 15th, 2020 after a nearly 5 year battle with cancer. He married the love of his life, Barbara, on April 28th 1961. They were sealed in the temple April 28th, 1971.
Ladd graduated from Jordan High School and attended the University of Utah. He worked at Kennecott for 27 years and then worked for Pacific Corp until he retired in 2006. He was a member of the LDS church.
He loved his wife and family with all of his heart. Everything he did, he always did with his family in mind first. He loved traveling all over in the motorhome; whether it was with his wife to Las Vegas and spending time with their dear friends there, or trips to Lava Hot Springs with family and friends. Dad loved his yard and took great pride in tending to it.
Ladd is survived by his loving wife, Barbara, his sons David Poor, Greg (Dawn) Poor, Jason Poor, his daughter Meme Poor Rowley, grandson Mitchell Rowley, grandson Carter Poor and granddaughter Haley Poor.
Ladd was a pilot, a motorhomer, a loving husband, father, grandpa and best friend. He will be truly missed and we are all so grateful for such loving memories that we can carry on with.
We will be holding a celebration of life for Ladd on his birthday, August 1st at the Poor House at 5 pm. We would like thank Goff Mortuary, Huntsman at Home and CNS for their comfort and special care during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the foundation of your choice.
