Kristine Stoddard Tatton

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Kristine Stoddard Tatton, passed away on November 17, 2024, at the age of 73. She was born March 26, 1951, in Logan, Utah, to Robert (Bob) Laurence Stoddard and Dorothy Jensen Stoddard. She was the oldest of four siblings: Kathy (Pete) Nelson, Mark (LeAnn) Stoddard, and Julie (Jeff) Warren.

She graduated from Manti High School in 1969, after graduation she attended Snow College, where she met the love of her life, James (Jim) Tatton. The two were married in the Manti temple on September 18, 1970. They both attended the University of Utah, where Kristine earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing. They began their family and moved to Nephi, where she started and had a highly successful career as a Registered Nurse at Central Valley Medical Center, during which she also developed her love for teaching in healthcare.

Kristine loved spending time with her children, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, attending sporting events, plays, musical concerts, and dance recitals, all to support them. She spent her free time competing in marathons, triathlons, and the summer games performing in various events with her wonderful friends, which helped to forge lifelong friendships. She was a staple within the community where she organized various projects to help support the local high school sports teams. Kristine had a passion for sports and was a fixture at every Juab football game and wrestling match, cheering on her children and grandchildren, even creating the “rally towel” tradition for the Juab Wrestling team. Kristine loved traveling. She and Jim traveled to every continent, often bringing their children with them as they went.

Kristine is survived by her husband Jim, and their eight children, David Tatton, Kirsten Tatton, Aimee Tatton (Wade Rowley), Heidi Tatton-Sayles (Mark “Soupy” Sayles), Robyn (Jim) Aagard, Michael (Candace) Tatton, Melanie (Aaron) Salisbury, and Kristopher “Kritter” (Kylee) Tatton. They have sixteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren with one more on the way. She is preceded in death by her parents Bob and Dorothy Stoddard.

The family would like to thank the CVMC nurses and staff for all their heartfelt care, love, and support. We would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Marc Jones, Dr. Chris Karrasch, and Dr. Joel Holman, for their exceptional care.

Kristine was passionate about education and had a love of reading with her grandchildren. Her family will always remember this and take with them a never-ending curiosity for life that they learned from her example. The legacy Kristine leaves behind in our community is one of passion and dedication for education and excellence in healthcare.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating books to your local schools or libraries. In Juab County please Venmo @juabhs and add “Kristine-Tatton-Books” and the funds will be dispersed throughout the schools within the district.
