Koye (Frances) Sorenson

Sandy, UT- Beloved mom, grandma, great grandma, sister and friend to everyone who had the blessing of having her in their lives, passed away peacefully to join her soulmate/sweetheart/husband of many years, surrounded by her family on April 18, 2022.

Mom loved with all her heart and did everything she could to make sure you knew how much you were loved. She was a sugar cookie baker extraordinaire, great cook, seamstress and loved to keep things clean and tidy.

Keo and Koye were married in the LDS Manti Temple in 1952, which was a great example of their love and commitment to their family. They lived in Murray UT most of their children’s lives giving them all the life lessons and guidance until, as they said, “It was time for them to run away!” and enjoy their dreams in St. George, UT. Never apart on any adventures between St. George and their summer retreats to Star Valley WY. Always together and never apart.

Koye is survived by her daughter Kristy Sorenson, sons Kody Sorenson, and Kurt (Wendie) Sorenson; as well as 15 grandchildren and 13 1/2 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Gwen (Glen) Adamson and brother Carl (DiAnn) Gardner.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life Keo D. Sorenson and her father Foster and mother Frances Gardner.

Services will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints ward building, 85 E 11000 S, Sandy, UT.

Viewing will be from 9:30 am until 10:45 am, with services beginning in the chapel at 11:00 am

A graveside will follow at 3:00 pm at Levan Town Cemetery (300 S 700 E, Levan UT).

The family would like to thank Canyon Hospice Group and Crescent Assisted Living for the compassion and caregiving they gave to our dear mom.
