Klin T Sheffer, 93, passed away February 11, 2018 in Murray, Utah. He was born April 28, 1924 in Cedar View, Utah to Vernee and Berenice Sheffer. He married Dorothy Vonne (Moore) Larsen on July 11, 1969 in Richfield, Utah.
Klin will forever be remembered as a great husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, neighbor, and was an Elder in the LDS Church. Klin served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and played Taps at the graveside of many fallen soldiers. He worked several years for the former Streator Chevrolet fixing electronics, until becoming self-employed in the television repair business. Klin was known for his smile, the captivating stories of his life, and endless jokes. He had a strong work ethic, and never shied away from difficult tasks. His hobbies included woodworking with red cedar, making tables, chests, and other wood items that he would create to supplement his income, after the introduction of the microchip to televisions. Klin was loved by all children.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy V. Sheffer, his brothers Dan Dale (Kathy) Sheffer, Bert D (Eldeane [deceased]) Sheffer, Jack D (Betty) Sheffer, and by many children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents Vernee and Berenice, his brothers Gene, Ivan, Don and Rulon Sheffer, by children Roger Klin Sheffer, Roxanne June (Moore) Comstock, Carol Anne (Sheffer) Perry, and Steven Harold Moore.
Viewings and funeral will be held at the Belview Ward, on 6300 South 300 East, in Murray, on Friday, February 16th from 6-8 pm, and on Saturday, February 17th from 10-10:45 am. The funeral will then commence in the chapel at 11 am, after which the interment will be at the Redwood Memorial Cemetery.
