Kirk E. Hale

This isn't Goodbye, until we meet again!

A piece of me died the night Kirk passed.

"Forever and a Day"

Kirk E. Hale was born 06/04/1963 and passed peacefully at home,  in the arms of his most beautiful Leona of 29 years on 04/08/2020. On this day, this world lost a true, gentle man and heaven gained an angel.

The love of my life passed and was received by the Gods above, where he will watch over us every day and night, every second, minute and hour.

We wouldn't have the life we have, had it not been for him. His strength for us was ever so strong. He was our protector and guided us with his words of wisdom, love and encouragement. We walk with our heads held high knowing today that he gave us tools to fight hard, to love harder and to be secure in the knowledge that he will forever grace our presence every day forward until we meet again.

He is survived by the love of his life, Leona, meeting at Midvale City Park. It wasn't a typical "Hi, how are you?", it was "Heeey, you wanna piece of bubble gum?".  And, she said "Yes". Together, their journey ensued with many trials and tribulations that stood the test of time.  Many would have called it quits but not these two, it only made their love stronger. They had Honor, Loyalty and Respect for one another.  No matter what happened in life between them, they always had each other's backs.

He is also survived by baby Sylas Marie, he waited for her to come into this world on 12/26/2019. And when she did, she melted his heart. He would say that "She takes all the evil voices away; all the anger dissipates. She is the best therapy ever. Just calms everything down." She will grow up knowing that grandpaw loved her, that he is her protector and that she is his savior.

Stephanie, you are daddy's little girl, his princess and his sweetheart.  You made him so proud, you are an old soul that loves like no other.  Lindsey, words cannot express the love that he had for you.  You held a special place in his heart. He was so proud of both of you and knew that you two would always fight the fight raising his granddaughter, Harley and Oakley.

Randy, Christina and Mickey he always loved your wisdom and growth and genuine individuality. He thought you were knowledgeable in every facet of life. He enjoyed your company and liked the fact that you could talk together about anything.  He was very thankful for bringing Christina into the family, he had much love and respect for her and always appreciated the good times spent together.

He had a love for spending quality time with his family; he always wanted to be surrounded by them all the time in the new home he bought for the love of his life, he made many dreams come true in their marriage. He took pride in turning a 753 Sq foot garage into a complete gym. He would say during this time of quarantine that he had the only gym open to work out in., while every other gym in the valley was closed.  He had a special kind of love for riding, he would take off on the Harley and ride, just to ride. To be one with the elements, to clear his thoughts, therapy for his soul. And, no matter where he ended up he would capture a picture and send it to me. Then there's the bad ass RAM that he drove with pride, bought with hard work, sweat and tears.  Finally, whether winning or loosing he was, and always will be a die hard Raiders fan... Raider Nation all the way.

He is also survived by his Mother Pearl, Uncle Leonard and Aunt Delsa, Sister Viola and Jesse, Vicki, Deanna "His personal Lawyer", Stacie and  Numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and a Daughter Crystal (Devin) Sakaguchi and their three children, he was just starting to build a relationship with them, he enjoyed to get to know you and your family; he cherished the memories he made.  On the flip side Carolyn DiCarro, Jerome and Julie, Kathy, Luke and Katie, Tony and Brady.  And his love for Homeskillet, sister from another mister.

Preceded in death by Michael DiCarro, who was always a father to him. Julian Jacques, Nephew. Grandma and Grandpa Laxton and many cousins, family and friends.

Special thanks to Alta View Concrete "Go Warriors" for always having his back, making many true and trusted friends. And, the friendships he made throughout the years in the concrete business. Kirk left his footprint all over this valley. I know which curbs and sidewalks he poured, the footings and foundations of buildings, apartments, homes and/or mansions and the new terminals at the Salt Lake International Airport. Having been a new mixer driver, he was honored to sling mud with the best of the best when he was selected to be one of the first to help with the new expansion. He took pride in his office with a view truck number 466, employee number 3608, working out of the NSL (North Salt Lake Plant).

He had many true friends far and wide. He would give the shirt off his back and not expect anything in return. He was the life of any party, he loved to talk, tell jokes and stories. Where most of us would tell a story, his were detailed as if we where there with him during those times. He enjoyed BBQ's and having friends over to celebrate just to celebrate. We attended many gatherings with friends, fire pits, hog roast or just to gather. With that  being said, when the social distancing allows for gatherings.

I will be having a celebration of a "Legend" in honor of Kirk, at a later date at our home.  All are welcome.

At this time a memorial fund has been set up to help with expenses.  Please click the link below

Thank you for the overwhelming support and love I have experienced these last few days; I want to thank everyone for reaching out.

"Lo, there do I see my father.

Lo, there do I see my mother,

and my sisters, and my brothers.

Lo, there do I see the line of my people,

Back to the beginning!

Lo, they do call to me.

They bid me take my place among them,

In the halls of Valhalla!

Where the brave may live forever!"
