Kirk Allen Burton, 59, dedicated father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, unexpectedly passed away in a car accident on February 10, 2021. Born May 11, 1961 in Nephi, Utah to Luana Garlick Burton and Jack Richard Burton. He spent the remainder of his childhood and teenage years in Salt Lake, Kearns, and West Valley. He served at the Dearborn, Michigan mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a proud truck driver for many companies in the footsteps of his father. He lived many places but spent his last years near Roosevelt, Utah where he felt the most at home.
He is survived by his mother Luana Burton, daughter Kyrie (James) Kelsch, son Jc Burton, brother Scott (Lucy) Burton, sister Brenda (Stephen) Remlinger, brother Bryan Burton, sister Deann (Tom) Brennan, sister Jana (Jeff) Austin, sister-in-law Shelly Burton, and 5 grandchildren. He will be deeply missed in the hearts and minds of all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his brother Donald Burton and his father Jack Burton.
He enjoyed spending time camping in Nephi and attending the Ute Stampede Rodeo. He loved horses and German Shepherd dogs. Spending time with his children and grandchildren brought him much joy. He reveled in service to others.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 26, 2021 from 4 to 5 p.m. followed by a gathering from 5 to 7 p.m. at Anderson & Goff Mortuary, 11859 S. 700 E. Draper, UT 84020.
