Kevin Ronald Madsen

On August 28, 2020 at the age of 53, Kevin passed away at home (in Midvale, Utah) instantly from a heart attack. He is survived by his eternal companion Candace, his two wonderful children Natalie (Edmund Silcox) and Cody. He also has three granddaughters that brought him much love, joy and laughter.

He will always be remembered for his love of the gospel. His testimony was strong and unwavering. He loved God and The Book of Mormon with every fiber of his being.

Kevin was an armchair coach for the BYU football team. He would yell "Go Defense!" so loudly that everyone knew that BYU's team could hear him from Midvale no matter where they were playing. He was an avid fisherman at Grandpa's Pond in Sandy, Utah. He loved catching fish, seeing a muskrat friend, blue herons and other critters, but he did not like the pelicans. Kevin loved trains, every kind of train. He enjoyed playing trains with his grandchildren (Choo Choo) and watching " the game" with them "Go Cougs." One of his hidden talents was his delicious spaghetti. His family enjoyed eating it every time he would cook.

He was always volunteering at the storehouse and has helped and served many people throughout his life.

For twenty-eight years he suffered from mental illnesses with difficult diagnosis. But, through it all, he loved the Lord and his family more than anything in the world. May he finally have the peace of mind he deserves. He will always be remembered.

Love Always Forever and Ever and All Eternity and Everything Passed That! There will be a "Celebration of Life" held on June 13, 2021 at Memorial Lake Hills Cemetery, 10055 S. State Street, Sandy, Utah. Family and friends can come together from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm to remember Kevin on his birthday. Feel free to bring a chair to join us and please wear a face mask out of a courtesy to others.
