Kenneth James Kaje Patterson, 19, of Westfir, OR graduated from this life on December 23, 2017 in Salt Lake City, UT. He was born April 8, 1998 in Nashville, TN. to Christopher and Theresa Patterson. While his time here was short , Kaje lived a full and rich life. In his 19 years he had lived in 18 different houses and called TN, OK, UT and OR home. Kaje always had an exuberance for life and only seemed truly happy when he was helping someone else. His love of animals began on his grandfathers Horse farm in Oklahoma where he would sneak out in the middle of the night to play with the new foals and their mothers.. This love stayed so strong in his life that on January 8, 2018 he was about to begin the long journey of becoming a veterinary Doctor, a dream he has had since OK. Kaje reserved his love for no one. This same patience and kindness he gave to all, whether a snail on the sidewalk, a small child trying to take their first steps, or someone struggling because of a bully at school, Kaje was love. He shared that love with everyone no matter who they were or where they came from. Kaje also had a love for cooking, he had watched cooking shows since he was in the 3rd grade. He was lucky enough to go to Network Charter School (NCS) in Eugene Oregon where he did 4 years of Culinary courses, which he used as an excuse to not cook at home because we dont have good enough ingredients at home While at NCS he also foundthat he could escape his natural quietness through acting, and found a love for Shakespeare, he even spent part of one summer vacation helping his teacher put on a performance with special needs children. Kajes family takes solace in knowing that he is now showing that love and compassion he has and sharing it with others beyond the veil. Kaje is survived be his parents, his brothers Nathan Patterson and Jonnathan Hoffman, his 6 grandparents, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, who we all hope will show as much love, compassion and understanding as did in his rich and full life.
