Kenneth Clifford Dumas, 84, passed away on January 18, 2016 at the Beehive Homes of West Jordan. He was born on March 4, 1931 in Midvale, Utah to Darold Clinton Dumas and Lucille Ruth Thurber. Ken married Darlene Beverly Anderson on November 19, 1947 in the Salt Lake County Building in Salt Lake City, Utah. He worked as a Tree Trimmer, Lineman, Trouble Shooter, Crew Supervisor, Street Light Department and Line Supervisor of South Valley District from 1947 to 1986 for Utah Power and Light now Rocky Mountain Power. One of his proudest times was when at his retirement party, the Power Company named the Draper Substation, The Dumas Substation. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and big dinners (that he cooked) with the family.
Survived by his children, Keith Clinton Dumas, Charolet Ruth Dumas and Jeff Clifford Dumas; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brothers, Lee & Henry Dumas. Preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers and daughter-in-law, Laurie Dumas.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Midvale City Cemetery, 450 W. 7500 S. Viewings will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday evening at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah and from 11:30-12:30 p.m. on Saturday prior to the graveside.
