Kaye Bollschweiler Nielson passed away on April 27, 2023. She was born November 12, 1944 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Charles Leroy Bollschweiler and Arlene Ryser. She was the 5th of seven children born into the Bollschweiler family. Other than a short time in the Butler area, home for Kaye was in Murray, Utah. She graduated from Murray High School in 1963. She attended Continental Beauty College and became a cosmetologist. For most of her life, she had her own beauty shop in her home or close by where she worked. She also worked many years at the Utah State Tax Commission.
Kaye was first married to Lynn Utley and had two children – Lance and Monica. After divorcing Lynn, she met and married Craig Sanders January 1, 2000. Even though their time together on earth was short, they were sealed together in the Jordan River Temple for time and all eternity. She met her last husband Ferrel Dan Nielson while working at the Utah State Tax Commission. Dan and Kaye were married May 4, 2005 and enjoyed 18 happy years together in Taylorsville, Utah.
She is preceded in death by her husbands Craig Sanders and Dan Nielson; her parents Charles and Arlene Bollschweiler; siblings – Carol Bollschweiler Clarke, Linda Bollschweiler Badovinatz, Ralph Bollschweiler, and David Bollschweiler.
Kaye is survived by her children, Lance (Jen) Utley and Monica Jensen and grandchildren: Kaylee, Austin, Savannah (McKaegan), Marshall, and Adriana; one great-grandchild Arya; and three stepsons Tony, John, and Dennis Sanders. She is also survived by her siblings Jane Bollschweiler Woolsey and Kent Bollschweiler.
A viewing will be held Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street, Midvale, Utah, 9:30 – 10:30 AM. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Veterans Memorial Cemetery and Memorial Park, 17111 South 1700 West, Bluffdale, Utah.
