Kathy Ann Neff Jolley was born in Salt Lake City on August 9, 1958 to Yvonne Taylor Neff and Lavar "Tony" Neff. She attended Skyline High School and shortly after found the love of her life, Paul Erickson Jolley. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 17, 1977. They were blessed with 6 children. She loved being a mother and homemaker more than anything else. She was amazingly talented and enjoyed music, gardening, movies & popcorn, canning, painting, sewing, baking, cooking, exercising, running, and making flower arrangements. Above all else she was an amazing cook. Holidays were her favorite and she always went all out to make them special for her family. She incorporated lots of fun traditions and delicious food. Kathy was exceedingly artistically talented, and always used her talents for the benefit of others; commonly painting murals for the local elementary schools, sewing for her children's (unrivaled) Halloween costumes or local play productions, or contributing her artistic flair for seasonal decorations and flower arrangements at church and community functions. She liked to work in the garden on Saturdays (much to the dismay of her six children!) if she wasn't embarking on some sort of camping, at the lake, road-tripping, or other kind of adventure with six kids in tow! She loved to travel with her husband and family. She enjoyed going to the beach and Disneyland with her kids. After her kids were older, she returned to the workforce for 14 years as an orthodontic assistant. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She held many callings including working in the Relief Society presidency, teaching primary and Young Women's, and serving as Young Women's President. She was extremely Christlike and gifted with spiritual inspiration. She served faithfully, loved fully, and taught powerfully by her righteous example. Everyone loved Kathy.
The last several years of her life she battled early onset dementia. She fought valiantly and taught her family many lessons during her illness. She passed away on August 20, 2020 surrounded by her husband and children. She is survived by her husband Paul, and six children, Tiffany (Justin), Sean (Jessie), Dana (Ali), Taylor, Landon, Brianna, and six grandchildren, Elsa, Gavin, Annika, Bella, Mary, and Zac. She is preceded in death by her grandson Jace, her father, and many other loved ones.
The Jolleys would like to thank the nurses and staff at Ashford Memory Care, Tender Care Hospice, Inspiration Hospice, as well as Kourtney, Carly, Jordann, and many others who loved and cared for Kathy. All are beautiful angels and became true friends to Her and the family.
