Kathleen Sanders

Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Kathleen Sanders has gone home to be with her husband and the Lord on June 11, 2017.

Kathleen was born on February 20, 1936 in Salt Lake City. She was raised by her grandparents Horton and Nellie Peck. Kathleen married the love of her life, Fred S. Sanders and raised their five children in Southern California, later moving to Sandy, Utah.

Throughout the years she held various leadership positions and was a respected member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Kathleen dedicated 30 years of her life working for Smiths Food King. In her spare time she loved gardening, crafting, sewing, and cooking. Despite her many hobbies, her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Kathleen is preceded in death by her loving husband Fred S. Sanders, brother Jay Howell, son-in-law Kevin Maynes, and great grandson Miller Stanger. She is survived by her children Rickard (Holly), Sandra, Susan (Ronald), Karen, Marc (Heather), along with her 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and sister Joan Trujillo.

Family will be receiving guests at the LDS Church located at 1600 E. Buttercup Dr., Sandy, Utah on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 10 am. Funeral services will start at 11 am. Interment will be held immediately afterwards at Murray City Cemetery, 5490 S. Vine Street, Murray, Utah. There will be a family luncheon provided by the Eagle Cliff Relief Society.
