Kathleen Lind

Kathleen Lind was born as the third child to Leslie A. and Elizabeth C. Whitmore Lind. She was raised in Midvale, Utah, graduating from Jordan High School. She also attended Utah State University and graduated from Brigham Young University.

An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served a mission to the Franco Belgium Mission. She served a variety of callings, especially in Young Women, Primary and Relief Society.

Kathy loved learning and read an amazing variety of books, mostly non-fiction about many parts of the world and many periods of time. She loved to travel and wanted to know about the people she would meet. She loved music and sang with a variety of choral groups. She spent 21 years with the Tabernacle Choir traveling throughout the world with them. She also sang with the Eleanor Kenner Choral, the Jay Welch Choral and the Utah Symphony Chorus. She conducted the Chansonnetts in Palo Alto, California.

Another special talent was stitching. She belonged to the Embroiders Guild of America and to the American Needlepoint Guild. She did much to help the local Utah chapters of both the national Guilds succeed by serving as an officer and bringing in national and international teachers to teach local members.

Professionally, Kathy did IT support for both The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and for Brigham Young University. An avid sports fan, she especially loved the BYU football team.

She is survived by two siblings, Don L. (Kathleen) Lind of Smithfield, Utah and Charlene Lind of Provo. She is loved by many nieces and nephews and a large family of cousins.

The family wants to express gratitude to the personnel of Elevation Hospice for their loving care of Kathy's physical needs.
