Our dear wife, mother, sister, daughter and grandmother passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 6, 2017 at home at the age of 54.
Karen was born December 20, 1962 in Kearns, Utah to Elinora and Ross Green. She became little sister to Russell, Ricky, Christy and Debbie, only to be followed later by her sister Lesa.
Karen loved marching with the Kearns High Cougars marching band through her high school years. She met the love of her life during her junior year in high school, Joseph Wamsley. They were married for time and all eternity on June 12, 1980 in the Salt Lake Temple. They had four wonderful sons who were her pride and joy.
In 1993 they built their dream home in Riverton, Utah. There they made many memories with their boys. After her children were older Karen enjoyed working with those with special needs with Valley Mental Health as a case manager.
Karen has a great love for nature, and looked forward to her yearly trips to Lake Powell with family and friends.
The LDS church played a huge part in the person Karen was. She loved serving others and her Heavenly Father, especially as a Primary teacher and Relief Society sister. Karen was selfless and humble. She was a great example of being Christ like, loving and charitable to all that knew her. She cherished her ward family and was so grateful for all of their love and service through the good times and the bad.
She is survived by her husband Joseph Wamsley, father Ross Green, children James (Heather), Jeffery (Karla), Benjamin (Richelle), and her grandchildren, Roman, Alexander, Joshua, Madison and Hanna.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 13, 2017 at the Stone Ridge Ward, 12070 S. Laurel Chase Drive, Riverton, Utah. Viewings will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday evening at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah and 1 hour prior to the services, at the church. Interment, Riverton City Cemetery.
