A thousand goodbyes - A million tears
Karen, age 70, passed away on December 9th, 2017 in Midvale, Utah. She fought against lung cancer for over four years and never complained.
Karen was born in Detroit, Michigan to George and Vera Robertson on February 2nd, 1947. She attended Eastern Michigan University and received her teacher's degree in Special Education. She married Richard Amo on July 26th, 1979. They soon relocated to Utah where Karen was able to fulfill her dream of teaching special needs children. Karen retired after seven years to become a full-time mother to her daughter Kaitlin. Karen loved to make jewelry, plan home renovations and travel to the Oregon coast. She loved her family very much.
Our family would like to give special thanks to the Huntsman Cancer Center in Murray, Utah and Quality Home Health and Hospice. Thank you so much Dr. Jane MacPherson and nurse McKensie.
There will be a celebration of Karen's life at the Amo home on December 18th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. The home is located at 7363 S. Balboa Dr. (340 East) in Midvale.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to lungevity.org in Karen's name.
