Karen Elaine Livingston

Karen Elaine Livingston, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed from this world Sunday May 5, 2024 at age 80. 
 
She was born to Neldon and Clarice Brown Rentmeister on November 28, 1943 in Torrence, California. A lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Karen served as a missionary in the Northern States mission. She also served in a multitude of other callings and capacities throughout her life. 
 
She married her husband George Wallace Livingston on September 11,1970 and together they had two children: Donald and Pauline. 
 
Karen loved cooking, knitting/crocheting, and reading, and she passed her love of cooking and reading to both of her children (knitting and crocheting, not so much).
 
Karen was preceded in death by her husband George (July 3, 1985), her parents, and her sister Joyce Rentmeister Brocco - all of whom were waiting for her at the gates of Heaven to welcome her home. 
 
Karen is survived by her children Donald (Eliese) Livingston and Pauline (Leland) Yee; her sisters Gayle Soulier, and Susan (Steve) McNees; and three grandchildren.
 
Karen will be honored in a graveside ceremony at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside California, where she will be interred alongside her husband at a date to be determined.
