Karen Sue (Erickson) Maloney lost her battle with cancer on May 12, 2018. She was at home with her endlessly devoted and loving husband at her side. She was born on October 25, 1954 to Raymond and Shirley Erickson. Karen was a graduate of Murray High School. She married the love of her life on May 25, 1973. They shared 45 years of love and commitment. Karen was passionate about children. She enjoyed, cared for, and embraced children as if they were her own. She loved working in her yard and helping others in their yards. Her life was a generous display of unconditional love for family and friends. Karen is survived by her husband, Larry, son, Jamison, grandsons: Dillon, Connor, Bailey, siblings: Craig (Shirley), Brent (Rita), Claudia Mills (Glen), Sharon, Brian, Julie Miller (Lance), Eric, and all her loved nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6 p.m. Mon. May 21, at the LDS Stake Center, 6175 Borax Ave. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Karen's name to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation (801-584-5800).
