Justin (Lukeini) Michael Shannon

Justin (Lukeini) Michael Shannon was born December 3rd, 1973 in California, and grew up in Utah. Justin passed away on June 7, 2020, at the age of 46.

Justin served in the United States Army for 3 years and worked as an Arborist for 10 years. He loved what he did and always said "The most peaceful place on earth is in the trees."

Justin also loved the ocean, playing loud music, working out at the gym, and competing in bodybuilding shows. Justin loved goofing off, acting like a monkey, and making up lyrics to any song. He loved dancing and singing... And being around friends and family.  Before his passing, he picked up doing an old passion of spinning fire poi.  He loved the fire and was very proud to restart it again and teach his children.

He was heroic and saved the life of his wife (Melissa Shannon) before his passing, he was strong and protected everyone around him. He loved his children with a force you couldn't reckon with. His parents and family meant the world to him. He was one to drop everything to help and made sure to always make someone smile. His smile and laugh were contagious to everyone around him. He loved to laugh and drew everyone to do the same with him with love and laughter.

He is survived by his wife Melissa M. Shannon of 13 years, His parents, and his two brothers, one sister-in-law, and 3 brothers-in-law. His children; Regan Shannon-Wilcox, Kailaya Frazier, Kai'Koa Shannon, and stepdaughter Miya Rayne Maxwell. Grandchildren: Sawyer Kaliko, and soon to be born baby Shannon-Wilcox in October (2020), and his best friend Steve Pappas.

His daughter Leakanna "Regan" wrote this for her Makua..

"He loved nothing more than seeing his family together. His laugh was something that could carry through any crowd. He was always the life of the party. The most welcoming human to walk this earth. He had a heart of a teddy bear but would burn the world down if you asked him. Would drop anything in an instant for his kids, and his grandbabies were his world. He was a hard-working man no matter what issues it caused for him. He had the best hugs, the best laugh, the most Handsome smile."
