June Roberts Tate, 94, passed away on December 26, 2019 at her home in Sandy, Utah. She was born on June 25, 1925 in Macdoel, California to Frank Ether and Ellen Cecelia Larsen Roberts. June married Darrell Andrew Tate on February 14, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized on July 23, 1963 in the Salt Lake Temple.
June worked for Sears for 24 years in the advertising department, but her greatest joy was being a homemaker and spending time with her family. June was a widow for 31 years and after her husband's passing, she traveled the world. Her favorite trips were going on cruises with her family.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as a temple worker for 15 years at the Jordan River Temple.
Survived by her children, Larry (Ronni) Tate, Colleen (Clyde) Pratt, Kent (Sharon) Tate, Diane (Jim) Blanda and Rosie Taylor; 27 grandchildren; 62 great grandchildren; sister, Louise (Doug) Lindsay; brother-in-law, Don Cartwright.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Darrin Tate; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Brady and Summer; siblings, Frances (Gordon) Roundy, Douglas (Edith) Roberts, Hilda (Ray) Neibaur, LaVon (Iris) Roberts, Enos (Gertrude) Roberts and Lillian Cartwright.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at the Crescent 16th Ward, 275 East 10600 South, Sandy, Utah. A viewing will be held from 10:30-11:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
