June Lamb Dangerfield, 98, passed from this life in Denton, Texas on October 12, 2017 from incidents due to age. She was born September 21, 1919 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ella Davis and Alfred Lamb. She was the second child of 4; Ben Lamb, Nyla Brady and Betty Kehl. She grew up in Wales, Utah. She married William Scott and had two sons. He passed away when the boys were very young and she then raised them as a single parent for several years. She then married Clarence Lamar Dangerfield on June 8, 1957, they resided in Sandy, Utah where they welcomed a baby girl to their family two years later. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a faithful scout leader for the boys. June from an early age always worked hard, saving to buy gifts for her parents or a little something for herself. She last worked at Auerbach's Department Store.
June loved her family, especially her grandchildren and one great grandchild. She loved getting together with her siblings and the many weekend family trips to visit her mom (Ella) and family in Wales, Utah. She was meticulous at keeping her home tidy. She enjoyed gardening and canning family favorites.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings. June is survived by her sons and daughter, Richard Scott (Nancy) of Salt Lake City, Utah, Keith Scott (Laury) of Grand Junction, Colorado, Lorri Walcott (Alan) of Corinth, Texas; 6 grandchildren, Michael, Matt, Ella, Brett, Sammy, Bradie and one great grandson, Jaxton.
Interment and graveside services will take place Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 5th South, Salt Lake City, Utah. Online condolences may be offered at
