Our dear Mother, Wife, Sister, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt, and Friend, Julie Ann Jensen Wardle Grant returned home to the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on early Sunday, September 6, 2015 due to complications associated with Multiple Sclerosis.
Born on August 6, 1943 to Preston and Maxine Jensen in Logan, Utah, she was the third of 5 children. She attended Jordan High School, after which she met and married Kenneth Clare Wardle (later divorced). Together they had 6 wonderfully, energetic boys: Brad, Greg, Neil, Scott, John and Christopher. Her boys were her pride and joy, each one her favorite, and she cherished every moment she spent with them. She later married her sweetheart, Richard Grant, in the Jordan River Temple on January 6, 1998.
Julie was faithful member of the Church of Jesus Chris of Latter Day Saints and served loyally in many callings. Her favorite calling was serving a mission with her husband Richard and helping many in addiction recovery classes find peace through the gospel of Jesus Christ. She truly loves our Savior and would boldly share her testimony every chance she could.
Julie was so proud of her family and she always strived to serve each one of them with a smile despite the limitations that MS gave her. She cherished spending time with her family and you could tell how much she loved every one of them after spending two minutes talking with her. She will always be an example of perseverance and optimism to those she came in contact with, and her resilience and courage in the face of adversity will be her legacy forever. "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." (2 Timothy 4:7)
She is survived by her husband Richard; children Brad (Judy), Greg (Staci), Neil, Scott (Courtney), John, and Chris (Sara); grandchildren Brooke Buerck (Chris), Ryan, Mitchell, Stacey Rogers (Dave), Max, Bronson, Eden, Abigail, Emma, Lauren, Jackson, Cole, Chase, Ava and Norah; great grandchildren Ellie and Lincoln; siblings Marilyn Brown (Tom), Jan West (Dave), Merv, and Kristie Loosli (Ladell). She is preceded in death by her parents Preston and Maxine Jensen, daughter-in-law Darcy Nelson, and granddaughter Mikayla George.
The family would like to thank the staff at Aspen Ridge West Skilled Nursing Facility for providing such wonderful care during her last days, allowing her to return home to her Heavenly Father with dignity. Great appreciation also goes out to her doctors and their staff that have helped in treating her MS for many years.
