Judyann Monarque

Judyann Salas Monarque passed away on August 8, 2020 in Nephi, Utah. Judy was born October 4, 1957 in Long Beach, CA to Carolynn and Arthur Salas.

Judy's professional skills were well recognized. She earned one Bachelor's Degree and two Master's Degrees in the field of Social Services. She has also received two prestigious awards from the State of Utah. Many individuals and families have benefited from her tireless service throughout this area and Southern Utah.

Judy enjoyed living in Nephi surrounded by her loving neighbors. She was known as a kind, generous and appreciative person. Judy enjoyed hearing the JHS Marching Band practice near her home. On one occasion they stopped in front of her home and played the United States Marine Corps Hymn for her in honor of her two sons who were Marines.

Judy is survived by her son Eddie Monarque and his wife Rhonda, granddaughter Sophie Monarque and grandson EJ Monarque all from Minnesota, father Arthur Salas, brother Andrew (Rosemary) Salas, sister Pauline (Gary) Shatzer, brother Joseph (Debra) Salas, brother David Salas, her beloved nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Her son Chris Monarque and her mother Carolynn Salas preceded her in death.

A memorial service will be held at a later date when it is safe to be together.
