Joyce Greenhalgh McCaffery passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 25, 2021 in Nephi, Utah.  Joyce was born on July 12, l939 in Nephi, to Leland and  Sadie Green Greenhalgh.  She grew up in Nephi, and was the third child of 7 siblings.

She  married the love of her life, William Keith McCaffery, on January 12, 1956 in Ely, Nevada.  Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple.

Joyce  spent her whole life serving others, especially her family.  She was a talented seamstress, excellent cook and party planner.  She taught many 4-H classes, and especially loved 4-H camp.  She served as PTA president at Nephi Elementary School, and she loved belonging to the DUP-Fort Wall camp.

She cherished her membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and held positions as a Primary teacher,  Sunday school teacher, and Counselor in the Relief Society Presidency. To know her was to love her.

Joyce is survived by her 5 children. Robyn (Nile) Wilkey, Colleen (Larry) Ingram, Jyll Wentz, Heidy (Marlo) Stephenson, and Patrick McCaffery, all of Nephi, 22 grandchildren, and 48 great-grandchildren, brothers Marion Lee Greenhalgh of Yucaipa, California and Gene Painter of Alpine, Wyoming.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter (Keyna Lee Whimpey Carr), brothers (Evan K Greenhalgh, David L Greenhalgh, Steven Painter), and sister (Jeneil Wing).

Viewing will be from 6-8 at the Anderson Funeral Home, April 1st, 2021. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on April 2 at the Nephi 5th Ward Church at  345 E 500 N, Nephi, Utah  with a viewing I hour prior to services.
