Joy Parry

Joy Thompson Parry, 93, of Grants Pass, Oregon passed away on February 5, 2016. She was born on October 29, 1922 in Sandy, Utah to James William Thompson and Zelma Smith. Joy was raised in Sandy, Utah. She married George Franklin Parry in the Salt Lake Temple. Joy and Frank moved from Arcadia, California then to Grants Pass, Oregon. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Merlin Ward. Joy was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She was a member of a study group with friends and served in many church callings.

Survived by her brothers, James (Beverly) Thompson, Harold (Judy) Thompson; brother-in-law, Arnold K. Parry; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah. Friends may call from 12-12:45 p.m. prior to the service. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery.
