Joshua Chase Thieling, age 35, of Salt Lake City UT, left us peacefully and unexpectedly April 11th, 2021. Josh will always be remembered for his loyalty and love for his family and friends, sometimes to a fault, often sacrificing his own wellbeing to help the ones he loved. Josh's love for sports started at birth and never left. From BMX to Baseball, he did it all. Baseball and the Red Sox stole his heart. He embodied the meaning of passion, you never had to guess where he stood. Some people would describe him as "Balls to the wall," always going full speed ahead. The only silver lining in this tragic event is he will live on in the lives of those who received his organs.
His charisma and way with words made him a natural leader. He transitioned from player to coach, which gave him more joy than he thought possible. In all aspects of life, he encouraged everyone to reach their full potential and always supported the underdog.
Life was not always easy and even with adversities thrown his way you would never see him without a smile. Anyone that knows him knows the impact that his Grandma Nancy had on him, no matter what was going on he had to make sure she had her Cokes. She was his guardian angel. Josh's happiness was fulfilled by becoming a husband to his soulmate, Cinda and a stepfather to her 3 beautiful children.
He was welcomed to his field of dreams by his Grandma Nancy, Grandpa Danny, Grandma Celeste, Cousin Rylan, Cousin Jaden, and many others. Survived by his loving wife Cinda "Flamingo", Stepchildren, Scotty "Bud", Laney "E Girl" and Jacksen" Little Jacky". Parents- Teri "Mamma Mia" (Isaac), John "Pops" (Lynne), Siblings- Clayton "Brother", Kiesha "Little Sister" (Zach), Rayvin "Fatty McFat" (Jacob), Nephews- Dominick "Dom", Zayden "Z', Wyatt, and Carlisle, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Viewing will be held on April 18th, 2021 at 10:30 AM with services following at 12:00 PM at Goff Mortuary at 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, UT 84047.
