Josephine (Jo) Drazich

Josephine Malouf Drazich passed away at her home on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the age of 88, surrounded by loved ones.

Josephine was born to parents Michael and Roshaade Malouf on August 12, 1928 in Ogden, Utah.   She grew up with three sisters and graduated from Judge Memorial Catholic High School.   On April 23, 1949, Jo married Mark Drazich at the Cathedral of the Madeline in Salt Lake City.  They lived in Camp Stewart, Georgia while Mark served in the U.S. Army and then settled in Salt Lake City.   During their retirement years they split their time between Salt Lake and Palm Desert, California.

Jo sold real estate for 20 years in Salt Lake and was a life-time member of the Million-dollar Real Estate Club.  She was an active member of St. Ambrose's Ladies Guild for many years.   Jo loved to travel, play bridge, cook and spend time with family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Rosaline Attey.

Josephine is survived by her loving husband Mark of 67 years, her sisters Madeline Sawaya and Edna Park Holman, and numerous nieces and nephews who loved and adored their Aunt Jo.

A special thank you to Hospice and other caregivers who took such good care of her over the past seven months.

A rosary will be said in her honor at Goff Mortuary (8090 S State St) on Tuesday, December 27 at 7:00 p.m.; visitation one hour prior.  Funeral services will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church (3015 Creek Rd) on December 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.   Interment at Murray City Cemetery.
