Our loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away on April 21, 2015. He was born December 28, 1928 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Joseph John Taylor Sr. and Hanna Elsina Hughes. Joseph was married to Beverly Ann Child on March 9, 1957. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on January 27, 1960, and were blessed with six children.
Joseph loved painting and music, he enjoyed performing for others by singing or playing his harmonica. His favorite things to give family and friends were landscapes in oil that he had painted. Inspiration for his paintings came from his love of hunting, fishing, the outdoors, and the old west.
He served two stake missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in the Elders Quorum in his ward. Joseph had a deep love for the gospel, and would spread it whenever he had the opportunity. He was very outgoing and loved to make new friends and serve others.
He is survived by his wife Beverly, children; Karen (Russell) Payne, Christie Curtis, John (Cindy) Taylor, Pam Taylor, Laureen Taylor, grandchildren; Justin Payne, Anthony (Myra) Payne, Sara Payne, Shaun Curtis, Alicia (Patrick) Paul, Adam Taylor, Christopher Galvin, and 3 great grandchildren and another on the way. He also leaves his brother David Taylor and many loved nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Vickie Rasmussen, his Mother and Father, brothers; Clarence and Alfred, and sisters; Mary, Caroline, Pauline and Lenora.
Our family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Roy Gandolfi and his staff for their many years of patience, kindness and care of our father.
