Herriman-This morning we lost a great dad, husband, son, brother, grandfather and soon to be great grandfather.
Our dad fought a very tough battle with kidney and heart disease over the last month in ICU, only to return home and pass quietly after seeing friends and family.
Dad had many passions in life - where do I start?
He restored numerous hot rods and always seemed to make money when he sold them, even though Mom was always surprised. His last project was a 1967 Chevelle that he restored with his son-in-law James.
Games - whether at Lagoon (yes, he was the one that always won those huge stuffed animals every time), his new tablet (what a great Christmas gift) or 31.
Dad was up for Wendover every time someone mentioned it. Roulette or 21 were his games. He would say, "If you want a sure bet place $25.00 straight up on #32," although the real numbers were 19, 23 and 32. That was if you had enough money to hang in there. Remember the chili dogs!
For the last few years he had really gotten into golf. Golfing with his son, grandson and son-in-law was his best times lately. Golfing at Mt. View on Thursdays was an awaited pleasure in the week. He got his hole in one! Dad, you now have all the time to line up your putt.
