On July 4, 2021, Jose Rubio Chacon, returned to the loving arms of his beloved wife, Isabelle.
Jose was born in Chihuahua, Mexico on August 26, 1942, to Fidencio Chacon and Librada Rubio Chacon. He moved to Utah where he met and married the love of his life Isabelle Nevarez Chacon on June 18, 1973, and they were blessed with five children.
Jose will be remembered as a kind, patient, and loving man. He had a great love for fishing, going for long drives with his wife, and enjoyed camping. He enjoyed going to Wendover with his family and loved his dog, Papi. Jose was a carpenter by trade and loved working on projects. He took immense pride in everything he did. Jose’s world revolved around caring for his wife and he loved her more than life itself.
Jose leaves behind his children: Secundino Chacon, Librada Trina Chacon, and Dionicio Dominic Nevarez. Seven grandchildren: Sabrielle Chacon, Jose Martinez Chacon, Joshua Kinn, Meadow White, Kaia Chacon, Renley Chacon, and Colton Chacon. Siblings: Andres, Adan, Marcos, Maria Santos, and Carolina Chacon. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife Isabelle, son Jose Miguel Chacon, daughter Agnes Catrina Chacon, daughter-in-law Brandilee Chacon, granddaughter Sierra Chacon, and his parents.
Rosary Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on July 16th, 2021, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 257 N. 700 W., Salt Lake City, Utah. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 275 U Street, Salt Lake City.
