Jon Dennis Bottoms

Jon Dennis Bottoms, age 39, of Sandy, Utah, formerly of Newbern, TN, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2017. Jon was born in Memphis, Tennessee on October 17, 1977 to the late Danny Lynn Bottoms of Newbern, TN and Sue O'Kelley of Sandy, UT.

He spent much of his youth in Minneapolis and Chicago, with most of his summers being spent in Newbern, Tennessee with his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jon was a graduate of Columbia Heights High School. Immediately after high school, Jon moved to Tennessee to live near his family and to work for Bottoms Siding Company and Delta Siding Company, both family businesses. Jon finished his life in Sandy, Utah, near his mother and the O'Kelley family. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is with his father and they are likely laughing together at this very moment.

A private burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Dyersburg TN on Saturday, March 4th, 2017.

Jon was preceded in death by his father Danny Lynn Bottoms of Newbern, TN. He is survived by his mother, Susan Leininger O'Kelley of Sandy, UT; grandmother Graple Bottoms; stepsisters Shawna O'Kelley DeJulis, West Jordan UT, Tina O'Kelley, West Jordan UT; uncles Mike Bottoms, Dennis Bottoms, Mike Leininger, Phillip Leininger, John Leininger; aunt Linda Leininger Bottoms; cousins Kimberly Jones Boulaid, Jennifer Jones Slawek, Melissa Bottoms Abdo, Courtney Bottoms, Angela Bottoms Moore, and Michael Bottoms.
