Johnnie Wayne Miller

April 21st, 2021 marks the end of an age as Duke the Legend passed on to the next great adventure.

Born in Ulysses, KS to John and Jeannine Miller, he soon began to defy the odds and cheated death the first time at 2 years old.

He went on to cheat death many times, the last tally at 19 times he escaped Death's grasp.

These would include bit by a rattlesnake, laying his bike down under a semi, stabbed in a New York mugging, an actual shootout, and even being struck by lightning.

Until Wednesday night, when he passed quickly in the arms of his wife, who he referred to as the love of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters.

He leaves behind his wife Heidi Miller, his brother Archie Miller, his daughters Amber Dawn Miller Johnston, Cassie Miller Smith, his step children Nicki Butler, Cj Hancey, Polly Hancey, and 5 grandchildren with the first great grandchild due next month.

The cremation will be handled by Goff Mortuary in Midvale.

There will be a celebration of his life to be announced at a later date.
