John Edward Wootton was born April 21, 1952 in Walsenburg, Colorado. He moved to Utah at a very early age. He died at home after a long battle with cancer at the age of 66 on August 21, 2018.
He is preceded in death by his father Norman E. Wootton Sr., mother Wilma Minnie Kinniman, aunt Cleva Haddow, brother Norman E. Wootton Jr., and nephew Troy David Wootton.
John is survived by his sister Wilma Jean "Sis" (Sam) Burton, brothers Frank W. (Evelean) Wootton, and David Lee (Clover) Wootton, and a host of nieces and nephews.
John attended Midvale Elementary, and graduated from Jordan High School.
John never married, but enjoyed his many nieces and nephews that kept him busy while taking care of his mother and Aunt Cleva.
John enjoyed bowling, camping, and just plain joy riding after work.
John retired from the University of Utah Hospital after 26 years of service working in the laundry and custodial departments.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He had one of the "Biggest Hearts Ever!"

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., Midvale, with a viewing one hour prior to services. Interment, Bluffdale City Cemetery.
