John R. Wettlaufer

John Richard Wettlaufer, 81, passed away on October 22nd, 2023. He was born on September 27th, 1942, in Easton, Pennsylvania, to John Phillip and Elaine Wagner Wettlaufer. He graduated from Wilson High School in 1960 and from Lafayette College with a degree in Chemical Engineering in 1964.

He married Constance Jean Buckley on July 31st, 1964, and shortly after, served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army Ordnance Corps. John was employed by American Smelting and Refining Company until he retired.

He is survived by his wife Connie; two children, John Timothy Wettlaufer, Amy Armstrong and her husband Harry; two grandchildren, Kayla Armstrong and her husband Jim Pecsok, Tyler Armstrong; brother, James Wettlaufer and wife Lorraine; brother, Timothy Wettlaufer and wife Linda; sister-in-law, Linda Wettlaufer; brother-in-law, Richard Stocker.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Thomas Wettlaufer; and his sister, Priscilla Stocker.
