COPPERTON: John Susaeta, 98, passed away December 9, 2021. He was born June 16, 1923 in Bingham Canyon, Utah to Manuel and Elvira Aldasabar Susaeta. He married Shirley G. Watkins on December 17, 1947. Johnny made his living as an Electrician for Kennecott Copper where he received his 60 Year pin from IDEW 354. He, however, was a jack of all trades. He could fix anything as long as he had his black tape handy. He was also a life time member of the Bingham Canyon Fire Department and a member of the Lions Club in Copperton. He also enjoyed his Marshall job at the Bear Lake Golf Course. Johnny served our country in World War Two as a proud Marine.
Survivors: sons Tommy (Carolyn) Daniel (Ruby); daughter in law Carol, seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Clarence Joe, sisters Rose and Mary; brothers Louie, Joe and Kat.
Johnny will be missed by all who knew him. His stories were legendary and he gave any lady, young or old, a whirl around the dance floor. He was from a generation that loved to party and dress up for all occasions.
He will be missed by the town of Copperton, friends at Bear Lake, family, relatives and all that knew him. Johnny is at peace and lived a full and healthy life.
At this time, due to the pandemic, there will be no service.
