John Leftwich

It was a stormy grim day on March 25, 2020. This was the day John Leftwich lost his brief fight with Cancer. John was born July 3, 1952 to Jack and Jeanine Leftwich of Provo, Utah.

John was a driving force in life! As a young boy he learned the nuances of racing, watching his Dad race boats. This led John to car racing at Suntana Raceway. Later showing horses and raising cows became his pastime. Digging trenches, moving manhole lids and other steel grates. Always building with steel and metal. Teaching everyone the importance of getting to your destination in record time, breaking the previous record. "Deliveries first and safety last." There isn't a piece of heavy equipment, car or truck he couldn't drive or a load he couldn't pull on a trailer. Always contemplating the next project. His bright blue eyes and wickedly contagious laugh will be missed by all.

He leaves behind his wife, Mary Lu, married 41 years, daughters, Michelle and Jolayne, three grandchildren, Jessica, Talon and Sage, 2 great-grandsons, Sawyer and Daygen, one brother and four sisters...and many many friends. He loved us all.

He lived his life fast, always pushing the gas around the corners. When another storm rolls in, look for the cloud pulling away from the others and listen for his laughter, making the final turn and heading for the shed. We love you Gramps, we will miss you.
