John Floyd Fullmer, age 67, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021 in West Jordan, Utah. He was born March 3, 1954 in California to John Seth and Bonnie Colleen Peterson Fullmer. He was the second of six children, oldest son. He was raised in Orem and Sandy, Utah.
Floyd graduated from Jordan High School in 1972, married Robin Parry-Neve, later divorced and had a daughter Jessica. He married Kathy Fitzgerald on Sept. 16 in Salt Lake City Utah. They were married for 43 years until his passing. He was a proud Grandpa to 7 grandchildren, and on every birthday he would go to Harmon's and buy their own personal small birthday cake. He also had his own Grandpa Diaper Bag. If you wanted to hold any baby he would make sure you washed your hands first.
He worked as a project manager at Interwest Mechanical for 37 years until he retired at the age of 61. He cherished the many friendships he made over the years.
Floyd is survived by his wife Kathy and his 5 children: Jessica Burtoft (Paul), Barry Fullmer, Michael Fullmer, Adam Fullmer (Ivana) and Eric Fullmer. his 7 grandchildren: Xavier, Savanah, Gabriel, Brian, Dallin, Natalia and Ethan, two great-grandchildren, Indi and Lily.
We would like to thank Floyd's Dr. Joan Shelly, Copper Ridge Health Care and the specialists who took care of him, especially his wife Kathy who was always by his side.
Preceded in death by his parents and brother-in law Brent Covington.
A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 from 11:00 -11:45 am at their ward house located at 9331 S. 300 East in Sandy, Utah. The funeral will follow at 12:00. Interment will follow at Lake Hills Cemetery, 10055 S. State Street, Sandy.
