Joann Clark

JoAnn Olsen Clark peacefully passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 in Magnolia, Texas, at the age of 71, after a battle with colon cancer.

She was born on October 26, 1943 in Twin Falls, Idaho. The second of seven children. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Utah State University. She had a successful teaching career with the Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District in Rohnert Park, California until she retired at the age of 60.

The remainder of her years were spent in Riverton, Utah. She worked at the Jordan School District for a time and then retired for good. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints serving in a variety of positions including working in the Jordan River Temple.

She was continuously doing things for others and making sure those around her were taken care of. She was a perfectionist in nature but was quick with a kind word and a hug. Those who knew her could always see she was strong and dedicated to the church. In her life she held many titles of teacher, temple worker, friend, daughter, wife, mother and grandmother, but whatever her name, she was always willing and eager to do her part.

She will be joining her husband, Kirk R. Clark, and her parents, Floyd H. Olsen and Eloise T. Olsen. She is survived by her four children, Chelisse, Shad, Chanda, and Kolette; six brothers, Ken, JR, Roger, Robert, Jerry and Steve Olsen; as well as her twelve grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the Stone Ridge Ward, 12070 S. Laurel Chase Drive, Riverton, Utah. There will be visitations at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the services, at the church. She will be laid to rest in Twin Falls, Idaho on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.
